I’ve really had a great ride with my Nikons over the years to have photographed some wonderful and interesting events. Whether for a non-profit, a corporation or the various associations I’ve worked for, I always give 110%. A client deserves the best photography no matter how important the event is. I do my homework on the honoree, dinner chairs and organization I’m photographing for….never just depending on others for the information I might need. I do a lot of searching on Google Images to find out what the important people look like before the event. This really helps me in making the assignment go smoothly.
I love people and it’s not difficult for me to chat people up and tell them just give me a few seconds to get the group photo that the client wants. I always take a moment to make sure everyone looks their best. I always make sure the tie is straight and there is nothing that is going to embarrass the subject. Many of my event photography takes place in some of the best hotels and venues in New York City and I go out of my way to know who the manager is and more important, the service staff.
What most of my clients tell me is that their guests feel I’m part of event, not some intrusive paparazzi.
